Abstract
Currently, spontaneous tonsillar hemorrhage is a very uncommon pharyngeal sign. Its etiology is usually related to chronic tonsillitis and its treatment uses to be local and symptomatic. The case that we report reinforces the importance of the global study of the patient with spontaneous tonsillar hemorrhage because it can be the initial presentation of serious hematologic diseases.
