Abstract
Currently there are more and more women who are situated on "the other side of the camera" in a world traditionally macho such as that of the Italian cinema. And if this is the present of the Italian cinema, it is not hard to imagine what could have happened in previous years. Hence, the article tries to be a small tribute to those early heroines who, gifted with great courage and culture, lived the hardest side of the cinema.
