Resumen

Este trabajo analiza hasta qué punto la existencia de relaciones cooperativas previas entre los socios condiciona la forma de gobierno de las alianzas tecnológicas. Con el fin de contrastar las hipótesis planteadas y aportar nueva evidencia empírica que arroje luz a los resultados poco concluyentes de la literatura previa, se utiliza una muestra de alianzas tecnológicas creadas por empresas de la Unión Europea entre 1992 y 1999. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que en las alianzas recurrentes con el mismo socio las empresas tienden a repetir las formas de gobierno ya utilizadas en proyectos de cooperación previos con dicho socio.
