Abstract
The basaloid pattern of squamous cell carcinoma is a rare variant of this tumor. It is frequently diagnosed at an advance stage, often with cervical nodes and distant metastases. This tumor most commonly occurs in the baes of the tonge, piriform synus, and larinx. We report three cases of basaloid squamous carcinoma of the oral cavity (a inusual location) and the clinicopathologic, inmunohistochemical characteristics and prognosis of this tumor.
