Resumen

En el presente trabajo se parte de considerar que la agresión hacia la pareja es un comportamiento elegido y de que nuestra sociedad acepta que los varones consigan lo que necesitan de los demás mediante la violencia y se exponen datos sobre cómo y cuando se producen las agresiones. Se aborda el tema de cómo persona, familia y sociedad se construyen de forma que la probabilidad de que en una relación de pareja aparezca la violencia sea muy alta y el silencio y la justificación parecen ser estrategias para no tener que cambiar nada en los procesos de construcción. Para finalizar se propone un giro cultural hacia una sociedad igualitaria basada en valores y procedimientos claramente femeninos.
