Abstract

The Education in the diversity requires of a curricular innovation that bet on a process and educational context that is adapted to the individual. To introduce in the teaching the provoked interest of the proposal of the transverse shafts does not mean to displace the curricular matters, and yes to design the objectives and own contents of the curricular áreas so that they could be acquired and be developed from the transversality, permitting thus a greater approximation and contextualization with the reality of each student and with the conflicts and problems of the contemporary world and, at the same time endowing them of an immediate functional valué with respect to the comprehension and possible transformation of that reality and of those conflicts. In this sense the aspects that try to be incorporated are not something added, but yes novel from the moment in which is introduced a new perspective, and is avoided the risk, sometimes so mentioned, of the fact that the transversality appear subtly blurred. The transverse shafts under this new position will imply an important transformation of the curricular áreas according to the expectations of the present times and the appropriateness to the possibilities of comprehension of the student. This will be thus, if the transverse approaches, that constitute the center of the current social preoccupations of the curricular áreas, are converted into the kernel in connection with those which turns the programming of the curricular áreas, those which will be converted then in the necessary instruments for the attainment of the wished purposes.
