Resumen

Corporate Social Responsibility is a research topic that is still in a stage of development and consolidation at the pharmaceutical industy. This research is intended to bring support on the discussion about this business viewpoint, especially in the case of Spanish biopharmaceutical group, Zeltia. For this purpose, a thorough collection of data and information from different sources had been done and a classification of the company CSR practices has been made. Such analysis revealed that Corporate Social Responsibility had caught the interest of group Zeltia, whose perspective is to discover new organisms capable of healing deceases, therefore an activity with great social impact. In addition, the group has started developing a number of new activities complementing their main purpose such as supporting the diffusion of new technologies, sponsoring scientific events, creating new jobs and having ethical management, which have made them up a good reputation from the Corporate Social Responsibility point of view.
