Abstract

ABSTRACT This PhD dissertation deals with the earliest manifestations of the Cuban decentralizing ideas as well as with the identification and definition of the constitutional paradigms which were designed in the origins of Spanish constitutionalism for the overseas territories: the inclusive territorial paradigm on the one hand, and the exclusive one on the other. It is, therefore, a Constitutional History research on the uniqueness of the "Cuban issue" in the first Spanish constitutionalism (1808-1837).
