Abstract

Phosgenite (Pb2 Cl2 CO3) and cerussite (PbCO3) are common products of the weathering of galene deposits. Both pahses crystallization in a diffusing-reacting system has been studied. This sortt of systems shows a continuous changes in its physicochemical conditions. The experimental testing of both mass-transfer and pH allows to understand the crystallization sequence and stablish the relationship between the morphological evolution of the crystals and the system conditions changes.
