Resumen

Comparison of several neural network topologies, including different topology families for a case of non-linear clustering, is presented in this article. The discussion starts with a classification of neural network topologies and continues with a description of the characteristics of the most popular ones. A data base was chosen to evaluate the classification capacity, the effects of the different topologies and the learning conditions employed.
