Biología Funcional
El Departamento de Biología Funcional se constituye en el año 1986 para integrar los antiguos Departamentos de Fisiología, Genética, Microbiología y Bioquímica adscritos a las Facultades de Biología y Medicina. Actualmente, es la unidad de docencia e investigación encargada de coordinar las enseñanzas de 5 áreas de conocimiento (Fisiología, Genética, Inmunología, Educación Física y Deportiva y Microbiología) de acuerdo a la programación docente de la Universidad, así como de apoyar e impulsar las actividades docentes e investigadoras de su profesorado. La plantilla del Departamento está formada por un total de 48 profesores, 38 contratados pre/post-doctorales o con cargo a proyectos de investigación, 2 personas en Administración y Servicios y 7 técnicos de laboratorio.
