Abstract

Many regions are immersed in a demographic decline process characterized by loss and aging of their population, as well as the decline in services. Since 1999, the E.U. has been preparing various strategic documents that, with an approach based on exhaustive knowledge of the territories, and considering their differences and singularities, try to combat this fact. Starting from this, an own methodology has been designed that, from the regional geographic analysis, seeks to respond to the complex demographic situation that occurs in these areas.
