Résumé

In the vicinity of the church of santa María de los Mártires, in Íscar (Valladolid), an excavation was carried out, framed in the first phase of a master plan for the enhancement of this church and whose purpose was the detection and the recording of the different archaeological levels. The excavation was carried out in an old cemetery, used until the 19th century, so the number of human bone remains found was high. However, the anthropological research of only five of them was commissioned. In this paper, a possible diagnosis of tuberculosis is described, in one of the individuals found, a girl of 2 years. Tuberculosis is a contagious disease and surely there would be more people buried in said cementery who suffered from it, but the extent of the disease in the population of Íscar will not be known owing to the small number of exhumed individuals. Again, the figure of an anthropologist in archaeological excavations becomes necessary, since only they can cast light when it is necessary to select some of the individuals for their exhumation and later research.
